Albizia has a long history of use in Ayurvedic herbal medicine for the treatment
of allergic disorders. Pharmacological studies have shown albizia to have a stabilizing
effect on mast cells, reducing the release of histamine. It was also found to
mildly suppress T-lymphocyte activity reducing the level of allergy-inducing antibodies.
